Lisboa (Lisbon)

Paul and I flew from Boston to Lisbon via Madrid. The last leg of the flight was on an Airbus 320 with insufficient legroom, a virtual torture chamber on wings.

We arrived in Lisbon on the morning of Sunday, 30 April 2017. This was in the middle of the 4-day May 1st holiday weekend. We had hoped to get our first pilgrim passport stamp at the Cathedral Se, but the “Camino Booth” at the back of the cathedral was not open. So we made sure to get a stamp at our hotel just in case.

We all day Sunday walking around Lisbon. The trees that line some roads were generating tons of irritants/allergens.

Both lunch and dinner were eaten outdoors in the pedestrian-only areas of town.

Lisbon photos.
