Camino del Norte
In September 2018, I walked the Camino del Norte from San Sebastian to Oviedo, a distance of about 470 km (almost 300 miles and 724K steps) over a period of three weeks. This route goes through the Euskal Herria (Basque Country), Cantabria, and Asturias provinces of Spain.
There is stunning coastal and mountain scenery along this Camino route. Another highlight was the paleolithic cave art at Altamira.
Brierley has not published a guide for the Camino del Norte, so we used the walking notes provided by Follow the Camino. They also arranged the itinerary, lodging, and bag forwarding.
I used my Google Fi phone and Geo Tracker (geo-tracker.org) application to generate the map/track photos.
